How do Air Source Heat Pumps work?
SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE
Low temperature heat from the outside air is absorbed into the refrigerant fluid. When this fluid passes through the compressor it increases the temperature and transfers that higher temperature heat to the heating and hot water circuits of the building.
The pump uses electricity to run and by extracting renewable heat from the environment, the heat output is greater than the electrical input making it a much more energy efficient method of heating your building.
