Fire Dampers
with our guide to fire damper inspections, testing,
and maintenance.
Fire Dampers

To ensure fire safety measures are not compromised or damaged, fire dampers should be tested at regular intervals not exceeding 2 years. Spring-operated fire dampers should be tested every 12 months and at greater frequencies if they are placed in a dust-laden environment. Programming annual fire damper testing every 12 months, irrespective of the type of dampers within the building is seen as common good practice. This is applicable to all buildings within England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and especially important in buildings that pose a sleep risk.
Programming annual fire damper testing every 12 months, irrespective of the type of dampers within the building is seen as common good practice. We do that by testing fire dampers to BS9999 standards in partnership with our national team of experienced Fire Damper testers. We require all of our Fire Damper testers to undergo CPD certified competency training as we strongly feel only experienced professionals should be in charge of handling such vital appliances.
In addition, we offer replacement and remediation services for damaged dampers nationwide. Contact us for more information.
